So after 2 weeks of induction I have had great success. The pants one size down from me that didn't fit when I started fit ok. They button just fine, but the thighs are a little tight.
I don't know why, but I carry a lot of weight in my thighs. They are like tree trunks, even when really skinny. Once my thighs lose a bit more weight I should be fine to wear them normally. In addition, I have an awesome peacoat that was tight at the bottom button, but now fits fairly comfortably.
I don't know how much weight I have lost, as I am a compulsive scale-stepper. I will get on it multiple times a day, and it gets frustrating after a while, so I put it away. Once I can wear my size 34's comfortably again I will hop on the scale to see my results. But I can say that my Ketostix are always a healthy shade of pink, or even purple, even though I am never dehydrated.
Food wise, things have been great. I have been eating a lot of veggies, and sharing them with my new guinea pig. He loves lettuce, zuchinni, summer squash and all the things I eat. Lots of meat, steaks, chicken, pork. My only issue is getting above 1100 calories. I have been trying to throw in more calories, but it gets hard with the lack of desire to eat.
Now I used to hate eggs. The eggs at the Dining Hall in college really just turned me off to them. I would force myself to eat them in the past, usually store brand eggs. Let me tell you something, if you think you hate eggs, stop buying store brand.
I spent the extra dollar, and got cage free Eggland's best. The difference is astounding, and I can really say that I now enjoy eating eggs.
Even my fiance has lost the 4lbs she has gained in the past few months just because of my adjusted eating habits.
I am going to stick on induction for just a couple more weeks, just to make sure I am really adjusted to the lifestyle, then go on to OWL.
