  • Im out of ketosis, so the sticks say !

    Hi

    I have still not lost any weight, in fact this week feel as if Ive put weight on. I have checked today and found I am out of ketosis. The sticks have never gone very dark colour, but are now staying beige. I had been in ketosis for the last week.

    I am drinking around 3 litres of water per day. Have acted upon the advice that members on here here have given me.

    The properties in your link are wrong. They go to the donation page for this website, not to fitday

      Please don't rely on the color of the sticks. They don't tell the whole tale.

      Maybe you want to cut down on the cheese?

      Are those the only vegetables you like?

      Did you really gain?

      Is it that time of the month?

      It just doesn't seem like enough food.

          I did think that but I so love cheese :-(

          Peppers, cauiflower, broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce, pretty much are the ones I like
          Did you really gain?
          I dont know if I gained but my trousers feel tighter, I will weigh myself at the end of the week.

            Too much protein. How much do you weigh? You probably don't need 150 g of protein.

            And as J. suggested, cut down on cheese... maybe limit it to 2 oz or so. While 4 oz is the limit, some people can't handle that. If you shred some cheese and use it as a condiment, 2 oz will keep longer than if you snack on them.

            Too much stalls or slows down some people.

                How much water are you drinking?

                  Plerhaps Im still not understanding this, my pie chart is showing on most days 30%protein/65%fat/5%carbs.

                  I weight 9st 7lb and Im 5ft5" tall.

                  Yeah I will cut down on the cheese. Over the last few days I have not had cream though.

                    Not really.

                    And your protein should only be 20-25%.

                      While those were the ratios recommended by the Atkins Center, the amount of protein you "need" depends on your weight, too.

                      Your BMI is 22.1.

                      Maybe your body wants to be at this weight, since it's a healthy weight?

                      What's your goal?

                      Over the last few days I have not had cream though.

                        Id like to be just under 9st. Not a massive amount to lose, or maybe less. This time last year I was alot smaller.

                            Yeah, so true, btu even losing a few pounds would be good. Ill try again from tomorrow, with 20-25% protein.

                              Again, you may be asking something of your body that it simply can't do.

                              If you've been exercising and building muscle, that will add weight that you probably can't diet off.

                              Stop relying on the scale to define you.
