  • Ham in my omelets?

ok.. on my fisrt day here and I want to know about ham with your omelets. I started out with a 3 egg 1 ounce ham and 1 ounce colby jack cheese. I know that ham can contain a little sugar. Is it better to just get deli ham instead.?

Deli ham will still have sugar.

ok so no ham at all. What about the cheese. Colby Jack is my favorite. Is that suitable for induction?

        You should read the ingredients.

And processed meats should be avoided.

        They are not "banned" though.

        Yes.

Cheese is limited to 3-4 oz per day.

If you roast a chicken or some thighs (you don't have to do it every morning!), you can add unprocessed meat to your omelets.

Thanks. That was the only things I questioned. I have all the rules, read the book and done the entire process before. But this was my guilty pleasure before, Ham and cheese omelletes. So I had to ask if it was ok.

You can find ham without sugars. At least I can here. Just look around a bit.

Thanks liv. I'm sure that I can find Nitrate free sugar free ham somewhere. I also like to crock pot pork loin with cumin and salt. any ideas if this is going to be ok? I refer to it as my low carb carnitas.. Same with Beef roast and often oven roast chicken and turkey. No veggies when I roast just seasonings. I save that for dinner so I have different textures.

Those crockpot recipes all sound delish (and 'legal') !! What time should we turn up for dinner?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

very legal just remeber to count the carbs from the spices and herbs you use.
