  • Day 6 update, still craving and hungry but lighter!

Hi y'all, I couldn't believe it when I weighed myself for the 1st time since I started this journey. 10 pounds lighter after 5 days! That can't be right I thought to myself. Only 75 more to go!

I am still hungry all the time, even after I hit my daily carb limit. And my cravings are stronger than ever. All I can think about is bread bread and more bread, washed down with a real Coke How long will these cravings last? I can't watch TV cause every other commercial it seems like they are showing some forbidden food.

It is hard for me to put down meat without bread or potatoes, always tastes gamy to me no matter the meat.

This feels like I have just broken up with my girlfriend or something, cause I miss bread(and coke) SO much

Congratulations on your loss so far

Do you know how your ratios of fat/protein/carbs work out? Your menus look a little protein-heavy to me. I find it is the high fat on Atkins that keeps me fuller longer.

Do you add much fat to your meals?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

3 sticks of cheese seems like alot? Im still learning myself and would be curious to the answer to this because I also eat cheese sticks but I limit myself to 1 a day.

Good point, Billy I am not sure how big a piece of string cheese is, but the daily maximum on induction for all cheeses is 3-4 ounces.

I guess I could add more fat to my meals. Right now I only get fat from bacon in the morning and mayo I think.

What are some good "fatty" foods?

Re: Day 6 update, still craving and hungry but lighter!

you can use any natural fat like butter, cold pressed oils, lard, or fatty cuts of meat, dark poultry, poultry skin, the natural layer of fat surrounding beef and pork chops, steaks, and roasts.

You should not be feeling hungry at all by now as your appetite should be suppressed from your ketosis. Atkins is a high fat moderate protein low carb plan.

You seem to be eating all your carbs in one sitting which isn't a good idea neither. try spreading them out to all 3 meals.

the diet coke has caffeine in it so you need to give it up as that can also spike your inulin porduction and make you hungry.

The Coke aftertaste? Why do you drink it then?
