  • Thirsty!!!

Day 2 (1/26) I got on the scale was down by 3 lbs. I'm very thirsty too, I am only drinking water. Is there a time frame I should stop eating by, last night I stopped at 7 pm.

I seem to be thirsty all the time too. My water intake went from about 2 glasses a day to almost a gallon a day. I, first and foremost , must tell you I am not on Atkins, so perhaps someone who is might be of better value.
I wake up early, so my first meal is probably around 8-9ish. My last meal is around 4:30-6pm. I go to bed anywhere from 9pm to 11pm.
I know before doing low carb I could not stop eating at 5 or 6- I would eat all the way up till I went to bed. I was hungry all the time.
So, anyway- I am babbling and did not answer your answer at all! LOL!

Yes I also am constantly thirsty. Just another sign of ketosis!

        Re: Thirsty!!!

There are no rules in DANDR about how late in the day to have your last meal. So if you are hungry then eat
However if it is a habit to munch on something while watching TV in the evenings rather than actually feeling hungry then try to stop that by changing your habits.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

That's good to know. I have eaten a small amount of tuna around 7 the other night, but had about 3-4 spoons full and I was good. I worried about "eating past 6" thing, but at the same time I recognized that I reached for tuna not nachos.

              Re: Thirsty!!!

Thanks everybody for your input. Its good to know that everything is normal and Ms. Elizellen I thought I messed up eating after 7, but I will adhere to not eating after 7 pm and just as you stated I do have a bad habit of munching. I'm not hungry just doing it out of habit.

My thirst is a welcome telling me that I'm on the right track, like Big Billy said--ketosis. I think I will purchase some sticks, where is a good place online, that is affordable?

You can be in ketosis without changing the color.

Also, changing the color does not mean you are doing Atkins correctly or that you are losing weight.

Of course, you can still have fun using them.

I changed my mind last night about purchasing the sticks. I could use that money on something else.
