Hi, wonder if anyone can tell me how crutial it is that the stick turns purple? Mine only shows traces and I have been on induction for 5 days and nothing yet!??

it does not matter what color they change to if you have any change you are in ketosis and even without any color change you can be in Dr Atkins defined ketosis cause all stix measure is the excess amount of one type of ketone body that was in your blood stream at the time that urine was made and it is reported as a concnetration not an actually number you can go from purple to trace if you add a cup of tap water to a cup of puprle resulting urine.

If you are eating your foods according to DANDR 2002 you are in ketosis.
Is your appetite suppressed? do you have a metalic taste in your mouth? increase in thirst? feeling colder then normal? change in the oder of your breath or urine? those are some of the physical symptoms of Dr Atkins ketosis.
