  • 12 pounds in 6 days!

    I was surprised to get on the scales before my workout at the gym this morning and see that I have dropped 5.5 pounds since Monday! I have been doing great with induction and drinking a LOT of water; nearly a gallon a day the last three days. You can see from my ticker that I have a lot to lose, so that may explain the good loss during induction. I was extra-motivated for my workout with my trainer today, and when I told him, he pushed me a little more than usual. I was hating it then, but I feel great right now.

    I love seeing this kind of progress. This just reassures me that this WOL can be done, and it will work!

      And good for you for exercising from the start too
      Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

          Due to my size, I am somewhat limited as to what I can do, but he is one of the trainers for our local area Biggest Loser contest, so he knows what to do.

          I start with 10 pound dumbbells and take a step and lift my arms over my head (with stiff elbows). I do three 2-minute drills of that with 30 seconds between each drill. Then I do pushups against the wall and then leg lifts (running) against the wall, again in 2 minute segments for 6 minutes. He changes it up for each session to keep it from getting monotonous. Today he had me do steps on a small step (up and down) for 4 minutes, as well. I work with him for 20-25 minutes, then I walk at least a mile on the treadmill. I work with him twice a week, but moving to three starting next week. I also try to walk at least another mile or two between sessions.

          I always have to push hard to make it through the workouts, but I ALWAYS feel better and more energized afterward! I am sure that it has something to do with losing 2 pounds per day so far.

            woo hoo congrats on your great start to both the eating and mandatory exercise parts of the Atkins plan.

            you can come join the ADBB PRESIDENTS CAHLLENGE and record your exercise and earn some medals too.

                Wow, you're inspiring! Great job! Great job with the exercise too! Trust me, it makes all the difference in how you feel and how you feel about yourself - you walk just a little bit taller when you know you've done a tough workout and completed it successfully! It's so encouraging to see progress too. Keep going!!!
