I don't see the fried pork skins listed on the induction diet at all. I'm following my neighbor's advice on what to eat until my book I ordered gets in (she didn't have it right, really) and she told me that they were great for holding egg salad etc and were a great source of fat and zero carbs.
So, this whole time I've been eating them, although I've DRASTICALLY cut down on the consumption now. I ate a LOT of them the first seven days, now I really only have some at night when the urge to eat when I'm not hungry must be handled. I find about five of the super spicy (not barbeque type) ones does the trick mentally and I suspect the spice does something physical. It also encourages me to drink a TON of water while I nibble.
Was this a big no-no and should I now do anything about it? I'm ready to expand out of the 14 day induction and wonder if I should redo any of it. It woulnd't bother me if so, I have not gotten a bit tired of any of what I was allowed so far and am a little afraid of messing things up anyway since I'm happy with my progress.

Which, as my second question, isn't as much as some I've read here. I lost 7 pounds, my goal is to lose 70. Maybe 60 if I find it's unreasonable when I get to that point. Is seven pounds sounding in the correct ball park?

How much of the weight loss is water weight? I know some has to be, especially when I read some of the astounding amounts some have lost here - but at what point can one smile and know for sure that the next pound dropped is actual fat we are trying to get rid of? It worries me that I haven't really lost any fat since I only lost 7 pounds. I'm 59 years old and need to be more active.
