    Is this acceptable?

    Hi:

I bought a box of "Superfoods Supreme" from GNC. It contains all veggies, fruits, and other nutritive plants in it. It has 14 grams of carbs per serving -- 4 are from "dietary fiber" and another 4 are from "sugar". Is this product appropriate for the 1st [induction] phase of Atkins?

    Thanks,

Not if you look at the list of ingredients ... there's way too many ingredients that aren't on the list of Acceptable Foods.

And since it has fructose, it's a definite "no".

And ... this concoction is no substitute for real vegetables.

Or real fruits when you get to them!

I would also be very leery of some of the items in it.

While I do believe there are superfoods, they generally don't come powdered and otherwise adulterated.

If you haven't opened it, get your money back.

During Induction, you are supposed to eat only foods from the Acceptable Foods List:
