  • Why no pickles on introduction????

    Is there a reason why w can't eat pickles on introduction. It has no crbs and it doesn't look like it has anything bad in it. I have kroger hamburger pickles and these are the ingrediants

    Total fat og
    sodium 390mg
    total carb og
    protein og


    Ingredients. Cucumbers, water, vinegar, salt, calcium, chloride ,alum, natural flavors. Polysorbate 80, yellow 5,blue 1

    you will most likely retain water but during induction you wouldnt even notice it since you are going to be losing alot of water weight during induction.

      They do have carbs. They're made from cucumbers, which have carbs. This is a case where the label isn't giving you the complete story.

      They are allowed on Induction, as long as they don't have added sugar.

        Yep pickles are legal.
        anything that has legal ingredients like vinegar and cucumbers with spices is legal.

          you are looking at hamburger pickles and a serivng is a few slices so the meausred carb count falls below.5 for the given servings. that allows the manufacturer to legally round down to zero carbs. if you stacked them up to make a full pickle and bought it as a full pickle itwould have more carbs listed.

          enjoy your pickles and count them in your veggie limits ofr the day and carb limits too.

              Thanks guys I didn't see it on the exceptable food list. The jar says 5alu wa per serving. So I think I can handle 10pixklea for a snack. 1carb. Good news for me.

                You need to look at the ingredients. Cucumbers are on the acceptable foods list. But to make sure those pickles are an acceptable food, you need to look at the other ingredients, as 2big wrote.
