LOL Just kidding, PB is a BIG trigger food for more than a few of us here, and just seeing the word in print brings shivers!!!
But no, it is not allowed on Induction. Not until Level/rung 3 on OWL

Re: Another question...sorry!
no I had the book and read it but lost it and I honestly cant remember about the caffeine, my bad! I am sure its going to get hard sometimes for me with cutting the carbs at the beginning, caffeine too would probably make me alittle cranky some mornings!!lol!!! and no i dont have a full list of acceptable foods, though I do have a pretty good understanding (for the most part). Was just curious about the PB and coffee. Also I know it says no alcohol on induction, but my sis did atkins a few years back and would drink vodka a few times because she said its no carb???? True??? She did lose alittle weight, but she wasnt really even heavy to begin with....

Re: Another question...sorry!
Caffeine is discouraged, and if you have a diet soda, it goes against your sweetener count for the day. You should get a new copy of the book. you can get them online really cheap if you look.
OK, here is some reading for you to do
This is where you start---“Read the Book”---this is the Version followed on the ADBB.
Dr. Atkins in Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 ed.
Some links to read (while you are ordering the book---not meant to take the place of reading the book):

Regarding Alcohol--
Alcohol isn't allowed on Induction. It is allowed When you reach Rung 5 when you are on OWL.
As to what will happen if you drink, the results are different for everyone.
I personally don't want to experiment to see how it will affect my results so far...I have worked too hard to get where I am.

Re: Another question...sorry!
All the Atkins "police" will tell you no coffee. I stay with 1 cup a day and it does not affect me. PB, I wouldn't do yet. Soda, honestly you will drink so much water you may not want any soda. Everyone else will tell you no. You don't have a lot of weight to lose so the rules for you are different, as they are with me. I actually eat b/w 20-30 grams of carbs a day on my induction. But everyone here will tell you to read the book and stick to it and DON'T EVER waiver.
Watch out, tomatoes are about to be thrown at me!
Best of Luck

Can you tell me where did Dr. Atkins write that the Rules of Induction depend on the amount of weight one has to lose? You don't have a lot of weight to lose so the rules for you are different"Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."

Re: Another question...sorry!
No caffeine carbs or alcohol? Im gonna go nuts!! HAHA just kidding! I think this is going to be a great healing time for my body. I will have my last little bit of diet soda (or as us pittsburghers say: "pop") tonight as it is already right in front of me, but I will stick with just the water as of tomorrow. Also I will really cut down the coffee to a cup a day if any. And I love PB but I can certainly go without for a couple of weeks. I want to try to stick to this as best as possible to see how it works for me. I do exercise almost everyday so I think you guys will be excited to hear that...Thanks for all the answers; I am loving all the insight I'm getting!!!!

Re: Another question...sorry!
You really need to get another copy and hang onto it. We are used to diet books that are nothing more than a list of DOs and DON'Ts, but DANDR is different. As I'm sure you are starting to realize, the background information (the WHYs) are what set this book apart. As you progress on your journey, you can refer to Dr. Atkins' explanation of why certain things are the way they are and what seemed like an overwhelming amount of information will start making sense.no I had the book and read it but lost it
