  • 7 days in and cheated

I made my own bed and boy I am I ever laying in it.

Word to the wise..........don't drink alcohol aftering depriving your body of sugar on this diet.

I drank 5 or 6 stiff bourbon and diet coke drinks and feel like **** this morning. I never get hangovers.

Have not been on the scale in several days, but I do feel the fat going away on my mid-section.

But I am not deterred, just human. Just thought I would commiserate and get this off my chest. I could use a good tongue lashing!.

    Don't do what I did.

Continue on your Induction. Today is Day 8 for you. Just be aware that your 14 Day result might not reflect your true weight loss potential due to this cheat. So when you review your results and look up your degree of metabolic resistance in the book's charts, you will know that your cheat has skewed it.

The most important thing to do (other than picking up where you left off) is to sit down and be very honest with yourself: figure out why you decided to stray from your Diet. Were you bored? Were you anxious? Were you stressed out? When you figure out the reason(s), sit down and develop coping strategies for the next time (we all know there will be a next time!) If you need help in developing strategies, post here and maybe we can help you.

aftering depriving your body of sugar on this diet
Depriving is an interesting word. Mankind have lived on this planet for centuries without sugars. It is not an essential nutrient or anything

But I hear yah. I know what you mean. Hope you feel better soon

Thank you for your kind response. Guess I gave in to my other half. Thankfully I didn't go on an eating binge like I usually do when I drink. So my appetite is still suppressed. Yea, your right I've got to get a psychological hold on this. I'm seeing my psychotherapist here shortly and will focus on this issue.
