Re: Help going on day 3 of feeling really sick
I love coffee too but I've cut it out. It was hard the first few days I had migraines and felt sick but I feel so much better now. It's REALLY important to drinnk as much water as you can! I'm stuggling with it myself, but I keep a water bottle beside me and sip it constantly. After a few days it gets easier. The pay off is worth it. I want to be skinny more than I like coffee lol

Re: Help going on day 3 of feeling really sick
If you've been doing Atkins for a month, it probably is time to move to OWL.
It would be really helpful with your initial question to have an idea of what you're eating though ... both in quantity and net carbs.

>>sugar free jello 1 atkins bar a day>>
There's no nutrition in Jello. It also counts as a sweetener. There's really no point in eating it.
Also, the Atkins bars contain ingredients not allowed on Induction. They also stall many.
They can be good in emergencies, but if you're having one a day, that's not likely to be a good plan.
>>Dont think we are eating enough protein ?>>
Have no idea ... you didn't tell us how much you're eating.
Also, Atkins is high fat.
If you've entered food into Fitday, why not make your journal public. That would make it easier for us to help you.
>>i know I am definately not drinking enough water>>
What's your plan for drinking enough?J.

Re: Help going on day 3 of feeling really sick
My initial reaction was that you're not getting enough carbs, but that doesn't appear to be the case.
You aslo need to becareful with the breakfast sausage, most have some form of sugar in them.
Let's see what fitday has to say about your diet...PBK - M/45/6'3"

Re: Help going on day 3 of feeling really sick
In DANDR Dr Atkins mentions that people on induction might be experiencing what he calls 'ascent weakness'. The 'cure' he suggests is to add more vegetables.
As are into your second month of induction and have now around 15 pounds left to lose it could not hurt you to move to OWL and add more vegetables for a start as you might be missing some nutrients with the limited food choices and low carbs of induction.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
