  • Just need to vent

    First week of induction went well ,lost 7 pounds.Scale broke and I decided to play the waiting game and wait awhile to buy one and go by how clothes are fitting. Well three weeks later and pants fit the same, in fact a pair that was just to tight is now really too tight. So needless to say I am now afraid to buy a scale for fear of disappointment.

    Don't get discouraged! Have you been drinking enough water? Going to the gym? I find that I get more bloated from one week to the next, especially if it's that "time of the month" *sorry gross I know*

      Oh yea plenty of water! Swimming and walking a lot. I am 2.5 weeks away from TOM. I will probably break down and buy a scale, help keep track. I have to know!!!

        Are you tracking your foods (ie:fitday) and looking at all the ingredients?

        Not eating enough can be worse than eating too much at times. Make you journal "public" and post the link. People here can then take a look an give you helpful feedback.

          Oh yea, I keep tract. I have been doing good. I think because I have thyroid problems ( being treated) it may be harder for me to lose or it may take more for me to lose to notice. I have had four kids so saggy belly I am sure is misleading when it comes to pants fitting around it!!

            Hang in there. Are you lifting those kids? if so you can count playing with them as resistance exercise. Have you been measuring your other body parts to see if you are shedding body fat? I know in the 6WEC I hated doing the measurements cause the things we were multiplying by 2 were getting bigger ( biceps,calves,thighs) and things we were not were getting small slowly. If I had been judging my atkins by only one place I'd have been a screaming hater instead of an I love Atkins getting lighter and smaller person.

            When was the last time you had your thyroid levels checked? mine needed adjusting several times while I was doing my atkins and losing weight.
