1.1 g per what quantity? Is this heavy/double cream?

Let me know how you find cream in tea. I am a big tea drinker.

Can anyone let me know why caffeine is a no no on Atkins.

The explanation is in Chapter 11 of Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution (2002):

"Excessive caffeine may cause unstable blood sugar and should be avoided by those who suspect they are caffeine dependent. Everyone should try to avoid caffeine. Grain beverages (coffee substitutes) are not allowed."

              Are you reading the book?

As you know, no milk on Induction.

I like cream in my tea.

Thank you, will give it a try. I am past Induction and have been trying to incorporate a little milk into my carb allowance.

I do decaf wherever possible for health reasons but was not clear on how it affected blood sugar.

millmoo the tea tastes lovely. i bought really expensive cream though cos the cheap one used to cause the fat bubbles to swim on top of the tea yuck
