    I too was a very heavy coffee drinker (all-day long) before Atkins. I love the taste and still enjoy 2 half-caf cups in the morning with heavy cream. I've switched to herbal teas for the rest of the day and sometimes a decaf coffee in the afternoon. But if I am at friends house and they offer me a cup of coffee, I am not going to turn it down..lol. It doesn't seem to have negative impact on my diet as it doesn't cause cravings. My appetite is almost nonexistence these days. I am on day 8 and down 6 pounds.

      I agree with Atkinsgal, you wont know if it effects your weight loss unless you cut it out. I dont think it bothers mine, as I have dieted before and had caffeine. But you need to watch all the sweetener and stuff you could put into it as you know those are limited on Atkins (they often trigger cravings). I like your idea of mixing decaf with caff beans. Why dont you blend a little batch of them each day for your morning coffee, and each day add more decaf and less regular beans? Within a few days you should be down to just the decaf ones. And your body will be used to getting less and less caffeine each day....
