ok I made it 14 days..yeah!!!!!! first off I lost 12lbs total in my 14 day introduction period . The bad news is that I lost all of that my first week and did not lose anything the second week .. so my victory was losing the 12 lbs and learning more about what I can and cannot eat. My defeat was not losing any lbs the 2nd week. I have narrowed it down to eating out the 2nd week. after the first week I was already sick of my chicken ceaser salad and started to go out for lunch with my coworkers thinking I knew what I could and couldn’t eat well I guess I was wrong because I didn’t lose no weight. I thought I did good by just eating different salads at other places or just ordering chicken but for some reason I did not lose. I keep my breakfast exactly the same and my dinner as well for the 14 days. breakfast 2 eggs 3 slices of bacon and I oz cheese bell peppers and tomatoes in the egg and dinner was 1 large chicken breast baked in the oven with 2 cups vegetables . the first week lunch was chicken ceaser salad every day. The second week lunch was el polo loco , chipotle, Chinese and salad the other 2 days from other restaurants and know I know why you guys and girls make everything yourself it is because you know exactly what is going in your body when you make it. I will be staying on induction until I get the hang of thing a little bit more. Today I brought tuna and a cup of lettuce to mix in. the lettuce and cucumber that were in my salad was not the problem it was the chicken I was using it was the cooked chicken in the resalable bag it was good the first 2 days but after that it was horrible to eat it just didn’t taste like real chicken and frankly I started to gag every time I put a piece in my mouth, maybe fresh chicken would be better. I need to get a lunch meal plan together any suggestion would be appreciate .for lunch

Weight loss isn't linear.
There's no promise that you'll lose ever day, or every week. So it's not a defeat at all.

Most commercial chicken is "plumped" with a dextrose solution has lots of other less than desirable ingredients. Chicken isn't always a good choice when eating out.

There's a lot of mercury in tuna ... it's probably not very safe to eat on a regular basis. It's a neurotoxin ... and if you're thinking of ever having childen, you may not want to eat it.

Yeah it's a pretty high risk eating out daily on this WOE unless you are very very sure of what you are eating. Their salad dressings were probably loaded with sugar, high sodium in some of the foods and no telling what the chicken was injected or marinated in.
Glad to hear you aren't discouraged and willing to stick to it. 12 is awesome even if you divide it between 2 weeks. That's still 6lbs a week average!

thanks for the support. the chicken was a no no it had about 3 carbs per 5 slices i think but i thought if i stick with one serving i would be ok which i was for a week but its safe to say i will not be usuing that again. only freah baked chicken for me. my wife will add an extra one for me when we eat it for dinner, that way i will have one for lunch..
the veggies i was eating were broccoli, asparages, string beans, squash, cauliflower.
tuna is just to change it up a little i will maybe eat it once a week if that. i already have 3 kids and dont plan on having anymore. i love them more than anything but 3 is enough for me.

If you were eating salads out (never seen one at a restaurant as a main course that was less than about 5-7 cups), plus two cups of veggies at dinner, plus peppers and tomatoes in your eggs, than your were going way over your induction veggies allotment of 3 cups of salad veggies, or 2 cups salad veggies and 1 cup othe induction legal veggie.
But as was said great job, 12 pounds is 12 pounds, keep up the good work.Jim

thanks. i didnt know that. im just know getting to know these types of veggies. we nevre ate these before as well as asperagus and we are finding that we enjoy them very much im loving veggies right now..

congrats on the great job you did in induction.
WHile you may have over eatten your salads and has some fillers in your foods it is perfectly normal not to have any sclae weight loss after an iniital weight loss on any weight loss plan not just atkins. We atkinseers call it PISS and it is just a hesitation in sclae weight loss. If you checked your measurements you will se that during your scale number hesitation period you are actually shedding inches of body fat.
What are you doing for your mandatory exercise part of your atkins and are you moving to OWL and enjoying more of those healthy veggies or doing exteneded induction?
For lunch you could justy cook extra dinner the night before and take left overs for lunchby the book atkinseer

THANKS. I AM GOING TO STAY ON INDUCTION FOR AWHILE LONGER. i have quite a bot of weight to lose and i want to lose a good 30 -40 pounds then i want to move up but thats my plan right now. if i feel myself getting miserable with the food i will move up to owl to add more of a variety.

if you are tracking your foods on a website like the free fitday.com be sure to check your nutrtional reports too because it is hard to get all the needed vits and minerals from the limited induction food choices. Supplement as needed.

oh yeah sorry. well the first week was no ecercise and the 2nd week i walked 2 day 2 miles each and for the 3 other i played basketball and played ea sports acticve on the wii. i need to do more excersise i know i can atleast walke 2 miles a day before i go to bed which is what i am going to have to start religiously .
i will be a walking fool before i know it...
and i drink min 2 liters of water sometimes 3 or 4 i love water...
