  • All my Atkins friends, help!

Okay, I blew my Induction over the weekend after some crazy family events had taken place. Just couldnt get into the kitchen or store. But I am ready to get back in. I am just going to continue induction like I was doing since I was maybe going to do it for three or so weeks anyways. Is this okay?? Also, over weekend TOM came. I weighed myself Friday (it was day 8 Induction for me) and I had only lost 3lbs and an inch off my waist. Do you think this is due to water retention? Ive been exercising and doing good, so I think I didnt lose much cuz of that. And maybe because I am so close to a fairly normal weight that my body is just taking alittle longer to let the weight go??? Any advice and encouragement is appreciated! I was just feeling so much better before the weekend and I am not wanting to give up, I love this WOE!!! Oh, btw, I am going to stock up on "emergency" food so I dont have this happen again!! Lol, we still have two feet of snow and it's been hard to get around to the store!!!

    Most likely.

Given that you don't have much to lose, I don't see that doing Induction for more than 14 days will be of any help.

    OWL will help you.

I would finish out your original 14 days and move onto owl. You need to work through the rungs before you hit goal so you know how to maintain your weight and what you can eat.

Glad to see you are right back on and taking steps to prevent this from happening again.

Get back on track and stick with it, and next time try to prepare for those "family events." It's difficult and not always possible, but most time a little preparation goes a long way. Almost any party has at least something you could have eaten.

        Good luck.

glad you are getting back on track and learned from your mistakes to have emergency foods availible.

Hang in there and on day 14 measure and weigh. since you have already shed 23% of your needed to lose weight you know you will lose weight doing OWL too and learning about how to eat real foods in real situations, and what if any foods effect your craving control and weight loss is what OWL is all about

Thanks for all of the support guys. I am definitely going to get back on full track, and not stay on induction too long. Also, Jroche, the family "event" wasnt a party or social gathering, it was more like a bad situation with the kids, which was very stressful and difficult. Also, with the freak snow storms we'd been having we couldnt get to the store...lucky now though, that we once again have access to roads and the local store is open for business! I am stockpiling the right foods!
