Re: "Well, I'm BACK AGAIN!!..."
Yes, my exercises are all worked out...they work but I tend to over due and get sore and quit. What I would like to do this time is in the next six months--lose 12 lbs by August 17, 2010 and keep it off. That is my goal-which is no small feat!
***I go to the doctor today at 4:40pm and get another 6 months on my blood pressure pills...On August 4, 2009 my blood pressure was 118/76! I hope it will be good for today!

Re: "Well, I'm BACK AGAIN!!..."
Doctor Visit Yesterday- BP 139/78...She Ordered: Drop 10 lbs. Walk 30 min. 3 X's a week, No coffee, or any type of sodas, Cut down on my salt intake. She doubled my water pill. Take my Lisinopril-10mg daily. Since I have no insurance and am over 40 yrs of age I filled out a paper to have a free breast exam, a mammogram, a pelvic exam, and a pap smear. Will turn in the paper today and set the appointment up for sometime in March, 2010. A lecture followed about not having this done.
***What made me quit last time? I am VERY addicted to carbs....ANYTHING that isn't on the induction list spells disaster for me....absolutly no control.............and no control on portion sizes (yesterday just ate a full BOX of Macaroni and Cheese and a cup of milk before going to the doctor---and I did good on my Atkins breakfast too of a servings of sausage and 1 egg!)
*****STARTING DAY ONE
(Breakfast) 7:45am
2 oz sausage.......................................Cals ...180......Carbs...1
1 large egg/fried in sausage grease....................70................1
3 Cups Coffee (cut down from all day drinking).......0................0
(Lunch)will add later
(Dinner)will add later

Awww that darn mac and cheese will get you every time. It seems like a lot of us are on lisinopril I'm on 20mg a day. Hoping to have it reduced. My bp reading at the store the other day was 94/56, a wee bit low. Makes me light headed when it gets that low.

Martinge and poobears1792.... Yes, we can do this together and this time. I am starting the Seniors Line dancing again this Thursday(at least it is two hours of dancing). Not keen on the walking, but we do own an acre of land, so will take the west and north side of the block to walk on Tues, Wed, Fri...I DO NOT enjoy exercising so won't do this. If I need to exercise then I will Jump Rope...Let's say Sundays! This sounds fine!
I was looking over the variety of things a person can eat on the 14 day induction and will try to combine the things that I like...
And then there is the poker games two times a month with friends and tonight is the night of a game.....I find out that they are having Green Chile Chicken Enchiladas, with garlic bread, Garden Green Salad and peach cobbler. They want me to bring a desert. I will do the desert BUT WHAT ELSE can I bring that I could eat (Besides the salad)??

Re: "Well, I'm BACK AGAIN!!..."
I found this on the atkins and realized that I need to refer to it often!!
"How to measure foods properly?
This is a question that comes up many times on the Forums. Unless you’ve taken a cooking class, you might not know how to properly measure foods. And it’s very important to know how to measure these foods, because all the food values in recipes, carb counters, and nutritional data sources are all based upon properly measured foods.
Many people over-estimate a tablespoon or a cup, because they just pour whatever looks like a ‘tablespoon’ to them. But in cooking and in the nutrition game, it’s very different.
NATION CONFUSION
In the United States, there are 2 measuring units for foods: volume and weights. Professional cooks and chefs use weights (grams) for their recipes----as does the rest of the world. Home cooks and cookbooks written for home cooks use volume measurements.
What are volume measurements? Fluid ounces. There are 8 fluid ounces in 1 cup. 4 fluid ounces in ½ cup. 2 fluid ounces in ¼ cup. ½ fluid ounces in 1 tablespoon. "Spoon" measures are further subdivided into tablespoon, teaspoon, ½ teaspoon, 1/3 teaspoon, ¼ teaspoon, 1/8 teaspoon. There are 3 teaspoons in 1 tablespoon.
Does drinking cup and an eating spoon equal a measuring cup and measuring spoon? No. Drinking cups can contain 6 to 10 fluid ounces. Eating spoons can contain more or less too.
Is a fluid ounce the same thing as a dry weight ounce? No. With the exception of water and butter, fluid ounces and dry weight ounces are different. For example 8 fluid ounces (1 cup) of flour weighs 5 ounces. Therefore, you cannot weigh 8 ounces tomatoes and call it 1 cup of tomatoes. This is where the older British versions of DANDR 2002 are faulty. The editors did not take the differences between US and UK measuring into account.
ALL STANDARD COOKBOOKS AND RECIPES USE "LEVEL" MEASUREMENTS OF INGREDIENTS, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED IN THE RECIPE. THEREFORE ALL NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE DISH IS BASED ON THE "LEVEL" MEASUREMENTS. If you don’t use level measures the final dish might not be right, in terms of taste, texture, appearance, cooking time and nutritional content.
What do you use to measure cups?
There are 2 types of measuring cups in the US: liquid measuring cups and ‘dry’ measuring cups.
A liquid measuring cup is usually made of glass or some other clear material. It has a lip to enable pouring of a liquid food, like oil, eggs, water, etc.
Here there are too many almonds in the measuring cup. Note that the top level of the almonds is above the 2 cup/16 ounce line. If we were to remove the excess almonds and measure them, they would be about ¼ cup.
Here, the top of the almonds are at level with the 2 cup/16 ounce line. So this is a properly measured 2 cups of almonds.

I'm pretty new here but wanted to chime in about exercise. If you not excercizing then when you start take it slow and easy. If your goal is to walk 30 minutes, then start out walking 10 or 15 and build up to 30 in a week. Then you can keep it up. After a few weeks a 30 min walks is going to be easy.
If you do too much especially with weight lifting you can really really hurt yourself, but also if your too sore to exercise, you not going to and that's not what any one really wants.
I have a messed up story about what can happen if you don't take it easy but i'll spare y'll for that for now.
