    One week down...

And I've lost 6.4 pounds!! Yippeeee!!! I am so excited. I'm feeling great. That yucky feeling has passed and life is good!!

So my advice to anyone who is just starting and has the headaches and no energy, etc....just hang in there. Stick with the plan and you will come through on the other side feeling great!! (and getting rid of some flab)

congrats. don't forget to measure so you can see the inches of body fat being shed even when the scales refuse to validate your hard work later on.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

gc1379 post your menu/sample of what you eat in a day so we can check it and see what you might be doing wrong. Will be easier if we see what you are eating instead of you looking at what someone else is eating.

                Re: One week down...

                Breakfast:
                2 eggs
1/2 cup of shredded grilled chicken
1/4 cup of onion and tomatoes,
                2 tablespoons of green onions
                1 tablespoons of parsley
( i mixed all of this to make an omelet)

                snack:
                1 oz sour cream
6 celery sticks (2 inch long, and 1 inch wide)

                lunch:

                2 hard boiled eggs
                1/4 cup of celery (shredded)
                1/2 cup of lettuce
                1 tablespoon of mayo
                1 tablespoon of mustard

                dinner:

                1 cup of ground beef
                2 oz of red peppers
                1 cup of lettuce
                1/4 cup of tomato

my concern is that im not losing weight as i thought i was so yeah...and i know it says that there should be like 3 cups of salad veggies or 2 cups of salad and one cup of other but some salad contain really low carbs and by dr. atkins im supposed to consume the majority of carb from these veggies.

                  >> 1/2 cup of shredded grilled chicken>>

Is this chicken you've made yourself?

What's the carb count of your food? Are you using FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal

How much water are you drinking?

                  >> my concern is that im not losing weight as i thought i was>>

Having expectations of how much weight you should lose is self-defeating. You don't have very much to lose so your rate of loss will be slower.

Though i note your eating tomatoes on Induction, Could swear i'd read they were off menu as they are a fruit!!
But obviously you're doing something right.

Many of the vegetables on the Induction food list are botanically fruits.

Tomatoes are on the Acceptable Food list ... check Chapter 11 in your book!

GC, there's no reason why you could not start in OWL Rung 1.

You're 5'4", right? Keep in mind that it's not realistic to expect to be the same weight you were at 15 or 16. You are already at a very low weight.
