      Actually muscle and fat weigh the exact same thing. A pound of muscle weighs the same as a pound of fat. A pound is a pound. The difference is muscle is more compact so a pound of muscle would be a small compact chunk of meat but a pound of fat would be a fluffy, nasty pile of goo that takes up more space.

      Also like mentioned you don't gain muscle that fast and you should be losing fat while gaining muscle so it really doesn't account for an increase in weight when you are overweight to begin with. Instead it could account for measuring smaller but weighing the same, not a 19lb gain that would take a very long time to build anywhere close to that much pure muscle.

        thanks for clarifying the cheese head.

        19 pounds of fluid is a lot of water retention. You need to go see your doc and find out if you have a medical issue causing that as you could die from some of them.
