  • Must try recipe

First of all, ive been very patient with this diet and have tried with all my strength to not cheat and to follow the diet rule by rule....AND i have but i still havent seen any results which im very upset about i will wait until 2 weeks have fully passed until i start making any judgments.

I've been meaning to try this recipe but have always consumed 3 oz of cheese and wasn't able to make it. So, today i actually did try it and it was exquisite, i tried it because it was something new and not the same boring food i eat, and it was a great way to follow the induction rules. Nice and creamy, although i forgot to add salt, but that was no barrier for me, i added salt at the end and it was just as good.

( i mixed all of this to make an omelet)

6 celery sticks (2 inch long, and 1 inch wide)

        lunch:

        2 hard boiled eggs

and poobears1972: that was before induction, i started loosing weight about 3 months ago (i think i lost because i was going through some rough times) , but i still want to shed a few pound i just started atkins. i guess i made a mistake when i put the start weight.

          GC1379,

It would be helpful if you posted the carb counts of what you ate. It will help you to know where you are.

I will have to agree with you on this recipe. I absolutely love it! Glad you were finally able to try it. I have to limit myself to a rare occasion because I usually manage to eat too much of it....yummy!

Wishing you well on your journey and keep searching Linda's website because she has several yummy induction friendly recipes. Her website is usually what keeps me going because you can try something new often and not get burnt out on the same ole food all the time.

Anyways....stick with it and here's to happy losing!

              Re: Must try recipe

Hi GC - how many days have you been on induction? With a hoped-for loss of about 11 pounds (assuming that you started induction at 121 pounds and are aiming at 110 pounds goal) you would 'normally' lose between 5% and 10% in the 2 weeks induction, which would be between 1/2 pound and 1 pound.

However as you were already losing weight before you started maybe you did not have the 'water weight' that many people lose in the first few days.

BTW how tall are you? If your body is already at a weight that could be considered healthy it might resist dropping as many pounds as you want it to so losing is going to be a slow process
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                Re: Must try recipe

Oh I see so you want to drop 11lbs. Might be best to move on from induction with so little to lose. Your body has been low carbing for a while. Might need a little more carbs or a different food to shake it up some.

                  Re: Must try recipe

with 11 pounds to go and having already been on weight loss eating the amount of pounds lost during induction will be lower then that for a virgin dieter. 10% loss for you would be 1.1 pounds but for a 300+ pounder like I was it would be 14.6 pounds even though the total pounds numbers are way different they represent 10% of our needed to shed body weight.

I hope you have been measuring too so you can see the inches of body fat you are shedding working your atkins induction for the full 14 days.

And I love LindaSue's recipes too.

                  enjoy it.
