I am so upset, this is my second time doing atkins, I was never overweight but am a "Pear shape", I just store more than I need to... I always wanted to lose 6kg (13lb) and I am finding it impossible, I have my wedding in June this year and I am starting from now because I know how hard it is for me to lose weight.
It is so frustrating as I exercise 3 hours a day at least 3 times a week and burn at least 600 calories, I am very athletic and feel like even if I exercise so much my body never changes. I've tried all diets (weight watchers/low calorie low fat/detox diets)I even tried skipping dinners... nothing works.
I even stopped the contraceptive pill thinking it had something to do with the hormones I was taking. I have no hormonal issues, thyroid issues or anything that could stop me from losing weight.. So why is this happening to only me?? I only ever lost weight on the atkins diet 5 years ago, I looked incredible so I thought about trying it again because it is the only thing that ever worked, and the weight just fell off me, Im now eating and cooking the same things but no change??
Everyone that does a diet properly gets to lose weight, I have been doing the atkins induction religiously for 8 days, I have been in Ketosis since the end of day three, I lost a kg (2.2lb) up til yesterday which possibly was only water because I put it back on today! The ketostix have constantly been a medium mauve, then today, the eighth day i've fallen out of Ketosis. I am so upset and even went and took a bite of bread because I am so angry and missing carbs. What can be wrong?
I had the flu on days 4,5,6 and today day 8 I got my period, I stuck to the diet all along even though I was sick and stayed in ketosis, I was still eating cheese and eggs and meat.
Please can someone help me?
