  • First day

    Today was the first day of Atkins. So far I am ok, I have not felt hungry as much. I hope tomorrow will be great as well. Will let you know tomorrow evening.

      Yes,
      Bacon
      scrambled eggs with onions, bellpeppers and olives
      water

      2 pork chops
      salad with tomatoes
      ranch dressing
      water

      beef roast
      cheese
      water

      lots of water throughout the day. I was not hungry so much after I ate breakfast so lunch was skipped. I felt pretty good. I got up this morning and fixed my breakfast.

      Today I have

      Spinach omelette w/cheese
      3 sausage
      water

      atkins strawberry shake
      water


      beef roast
      greens
      water


      din: homemade hot chicken fingers
      salad w/ tomatoes, onions, bellpepper, boiled eggs
      water

        Skipping meals isn't a good idea.

        Do you know how many net carbs you're having?

        What's "lots" of water, exactly?

          All sounds wonderful except the shake. If you have been with us for awhile you will find that those shakes really scare us. First, there have been many complaints that the stall weight loss, second, they are not on the acceptable list that we use, although Atkins site said they are okay, we don't believe it.
          If you can, do yourself a favor and stick them away until your done with the first two weeks of induction, give yourself the best start at this WOE. You won't regret it.
          You could make an egg nog shake instead if your hungry
          Make sure you eat every 6 hours at least. If you body thinks your hungry it will hold on to that fat as tight as it can/

            Again, skipping meals isn't a good idea ... so that part isn't "wonderful".

              Sounds like your off to a good start. I would skip the shake rather than the meal though. I have to admit though....I was up and at work for 6am this morning and did not get my breakfast in....I feel terrible so Im planning ahead to cook something the night before and I can just zap it before I leave or when I get to work in the mornings. Shift work is such a pain!!! Grrr
              anyways...keep up the good work

                Lots of water for me is drinking 100oz and above a day.

                  You might want to aim for 1/2 your current body weight in ounces of water ... or as close to it as you can.
