    Hi everyone,

Is someone able to tell me if Brie cheese is acceptable on the induction phase. I think it is as soft cheeses are allowed, but just wanted to check.

    Thanks!

      Here's from the book:

      Cheese
You can consume three to four ounces daily of the following full fat, firm, soft, and semi-soft aged cheeses *, including:
      cheddar
      cow, sheep and goat cheese
      cream cheese
      Gouda
      mozzarella
      Roquefort and other blue cheeses
      Swiss

      Not tru

Thanks all! I thought I recalled mention of Brie, but I wasn't certain.

Good for you for checking before you eat it
Brie was one of the foods that helped me through induction, spread on buttered flax (linseed) crackers (which I used to take in my bag) it was usually a good option for a dessert when eating out at a posh dinner, and made it easier to pass on the sugary desserts!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

              Re: Cheese

And don't forget other soft aged cheeses like Camembert, Port Salut, Stilton, and Gorgonzola.

Be careful with the goat cheeses, though....Some soft goat cheeses are not aged ("ripened" as it is sometimes called), and some soft goat cheeses are. So you will have to read the packages and/or ask the cheese maker if the cheese is ripened/aged or not.

Last autumn I bought a lovely soft, aged goat cheese from an artisanal cheese maker (it was pricey but it was soooooooo delicious!)

              ENJOY!
