I've been doing this diet since 08 but I keep on slipping off the wagon within a month of doing it, and after a couple of weeks of cheating I come right back after I've done gained 10 lbs and getting upset with myself. Its just so hard when you dont have any support at all.

        Re: sad

I think you need to change your mindset. You can't rely on others to get you through this. You need to dig down deep and decide you are doing this for you. No matter what anyone says or does around you. It's hard but that;s really the only way to suceed long term. Good luck!

Stop thinking of it as "yummy" food ... start thinking of what you can eat as "yummy".

              Re: sad

I agree with Atkinsgal - start thinking about the yummy foods you CAN eat on Atkins. The kinds of food that people on 'diets' can't even imagine eating.

              Like
steak with garlic butter and a salad
gooey brie cheese on buttered flax crackers
crayfish tails in fullfat mayonnaise on avocado slices
crispy chicken wings with hot sauce and butter
              rich cheese sauce on anything
lobster or crabs legs dipped in butter
              ham and cheese rollups
              salmon and cream cheese
celery stuffed with fullfat cream cheese or paté

these are just a few of my favourite things - what are yours?
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Thanks for the great food ideas elizelllen. I work harder than I have ever have before with working out today. I can feel the pain but pain is good with exercises. I have even took my scales to my mom so that I wont be weighing myself every morning so I wont be upset if I dont see a change because in the past I have got discouraged because I didnt see a change in my weight the next day. I measured myself yesterday so I'll do that again next Wednesday also.

Look at it this way, you have come this far, not only will you have a healthier weight, but you will feel better, and most of all....people will see your amazing body and self esteem, and hopefully join your crusade, you can be an inspiration to others, then you can become a teacher/mentor for those around you, and soon the world will be dropping the Big Macs and Fries, and eating the way humans are made.
