  • Please help me with my problem

So i notice a lot of people eat A LOT of bacon. I am not allergic and its not against my religion or anything but for some reason i just cannot bring myself to eat bacon or any form of pork whatsoever. This is not something I can change, I have zero desire to partake in pork eating. So I am here to ask you guys a few questions.

    1. Is anyone else pork free? could you tell me how to spice up breakfast without the addition of pork.

    2. How many net carbs are in an egg, ive read online anywhere from .4-1+ and i want to know for sure.

    3. Does cheddar really have 0 net carbs?

    4. Are the atkins shakes safe for induction? I see them advertised as phase 1 but i rarely see reports of people drinking them.

    5. Has anyone combined this with Jillian Michaels shred the fat workout?

You do not have to eat bacon. Now I like it but weeks can pass between me eating some. I often eat scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and mushrooms and sauteed veggies for breakfast.

To get an authoritative source on carbs you should always look up the usda database

No cheese has zero carb again check the usda data base

We suggest not doing shakes in induction - they replace real food which you should focus on and reports indicate that many stall on them

I am currently doing shred. Love it and hate it

according to that site the carb is 1.34 in a large egg. So when i see people posting eating 4 of these for breakfast doesnt that mean they have around 5 grams of carbs? with the 15 of veggies that means there are no other carbs allowed? sorry i am confused by atkins i need to pick up a book but i wanted to ask experienced people

        >>according to that site the carb is 1.34 in a large egg.>>

The USDA site above has 1 large egg (raw) at 0.39 net carbs. So 4 eggs would be 1.56 net carbs. That leaves plenty of room for Induction vegetables, etc.

Because ingredients have probably been added to a scrambled egg ... like milk.

Always best to use the count for "raw" if that's how you started with the food item.

It is best to check raw products. With some cooked products the programme assumes you add things like milk.

spice uyp breakfast how about making omelettes with some of your veggies and some herbs with a little cheese? you could do mexican with a sugar free salas or peppers onions and tomatoes if you wanted to not use a prerpared product.
You could make a spinach quiche with frozen sinanch draines stiredd into your eggs with some cheese and nutmeg.
you could do any combination of spices and herbs ( count your carbs) mixed with your veggies cheese and eggs.

or you could have leftover dinner for breakfast. I had blackened fish, taco salad, pulled pork with spicey slaw, pumpkin curry, beef and broccoli chicken stuffed with cream cheese and spinach, gumbo, and lots of other dinners for breakfast during my extended induction losing days.

I'm not a big bacon fan. Nor eggs. Right now, I've been making a broccoli mushroom quiche for breakfast, with cheddar cheese for the "crust". I've also had leftovers for breakfast, chicken salad with spinach, meatballs with tomato or cucumber slices as well. I try and make sure I get a good mix of protein, fats and some veggies in. It seems to keep the cravings and hunger in check so well, I have to remember to eat lunch!
