  • Day 5 Intro - Going Great, but need sleep!

    Hello everyone,

    So excited to share that I'm on day 5 of the Intro and I've reached my first mini goal I have so much more energy now and feel really good. I've been doing a 30 minute/2 mile brisk walk each day after work and its definitely helping. The only problem I'm finding is that I am struggling to go to sleep because I'm too awake. I'm sure its because of the evening exercise, but I struggle to get it done in the morning (at least on Mon - Fri). I'd rather do it in the evening than not at all. If anyone has any sleep remedies, or has experienced the same thing, please let me know.

    Sorry no, since I started this WOE I sleep great, it probably is the exercise getting you keyed up. Have you tried a nice warm bath before bed. It always makes me relaxed and sleepy. Also make sure you aren't eating near bedtime.

      I went through a phase a couple of years ago like that. I found that the body temperature has to drop slightly to induce drowsiness. If you are fairly warm from your workout, maybe a "cool" shower (good for your pores, too) or find a "cool down" ritual of some sort. Meditate, read, pray, word puzzles.

      Just some thoughts and my experiences. I hope you find some good advice here. Sounds like you are doing a great job so far!

        Congrats on your "newfound energy" and on using it to exercise.

        Your lack of sleep is probably due to the evening exercise. Relaxation techniques like mediatation might help you out.
