I was looking on the site that everyone suggest on here & saw that the cheesecake was low carb. Has anyone tried it? What did you think?

Re: Lindas Low Carb Cheesecake
I've made them and they are good. A few years back while I was maintaining I made the pumpkin one for Thanksgiving and it was delicious... now to get myself back there!
I'm unsure if they are legal on induction but I know there are some items in the recipe corner for induction friendly items.

Re: Lindas Low Carb Cheesecake
I'm not sure of where I got this recipe...
But I use: 1 package cream cheese, 1c. heavy whipping cream, 1tsp. vanilla extract, maybe around 1/8c. splenda & I personally add in a pinch of some cinnamon. Then I pour it into 10 individual plastic cups and freeze them.
Although its best not to have so much cream cheese and cream, I feel its better for me to have a standby plan.

if you don't eat more then one at a time you have a great treat there with less then an ounce of cheese and 1.6 tablesppons of cream in each along with less then a serivng of sweetener in each one.by the book atkinseer

Re: Lindas Low Carb Cheesecake
Your suggestion of splitting the recipe into 10 individual portions is a great idea, Krystle
Making a large cheesecake can equal eating the large cheesecake if I am not careful, as it is about the only sweet dish I really like
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Lindas Low Carb Cheesecake
2big: Yep, I only eat one serving, just enough to give me the taste difference that I sometimes want. The recipe called for 1/2 cup of splenda but that was wayyy to sweet for me. Tried 1/4 cup and it stilled seemed a bit much with the vanilla extract in there so cut it down to an 1/8c and its so yummy
Eliz: I would be the same way!!! hehe. That would be too much temptation for me to make one whole batch and have to spoon some out when I wanted, that's just asking for trouble!

Re: Lindas Low Carb Cheesecake
Hi- new to the board. For those that have been successful on Atkins and not really fallen off too much....how long before you started incorporating these LC treats into your life? I was thinking after maybe 2-3 weeks to have one of these treats a week. Is that usual? Great idea about breaking up the treats into individual pieces. I always cut wayyyy too big a piece when I bake : /
Also...I am trying to stay away from the Atkins bars/shakes.....but is Lindtt 85% chocolate allowed on Maintenance? I don't see it listed, so maybe not.....
When i was doing LC my way I really enjoyed 1 sq. melted, couple tsp of mascarpone and some splenda. Put in the freezer for half an hour and you got the most delicious thick chocolate mousse....mmmm....I'd like to have that again at some point. What do you guys think? Legal or Illegal?5'4, Medium framed female.
