  • starting from scratch

Here I stand hat in hand ready to start over from scratch. I have packed up & moved back home to look after my mum who has a brain tumor. Been doing Atkins on & off for ages & it truly is the only weight loss program that works for me. I have type 2 diabetes & was on tablets & insulin last year but thanks to Atkins I was able to get off insulin & cut down my meds.
Unfortunately after some blood tests last week I have been told my pancreas is shutting down my blood sugars are skyhigh & I am back on insulin again.
So I am here to start once more now things have all settled down after the move. I have managed to lose just over 5kgs even during the move although not 100% on plan so I am happy.
I am starting today aiming for a clean induction & to get my blood sugars down. I have started having circulation problems in my legs so this is a race to save them.
I look forward to catching up with you all as we take this journey to health & happiness together.
    Hugs
    Wendy

Hi Weaver...u are so right Doesn't matter how much we lose as long as we lose. How do u find the pump I use a pen as I find it a lot easier then syringers. I am in Australia & I know we use different reading here but my blood sugars are up round 15 when normal rang here is under 7 so I am really desperate to get them down as fast as possiable.
Atkinsgal thanks for the good wishes. Mum is doing ok at moment we live over an hour from specialist so lots trips back and forward but we are getting there.

Thank you Elizellen you are always so very kind. Glad to be back again.
I find this way of eating truly amazing it never stops making me inspired. After just one day of following diet 100% my blood sugars are dropping at an amazing rate. I feel better already am not so tired and am positive that by end of first week I will be back to normal range with my sugar levels.
Mum is doing ok at the moment thank goodness so fingers crossed for good test results next month.
