I use a rub of salt, pepper, and paprika. I rub it the night before and then smoke if for about 7 hours the next morning. After 7 hours I Wrap it in foil and put it in an empty ice chest for a few more hours then slice it real thin. I usually don't eat it with BBQ sauce. I am going to go back to the DANDR and check to see if the Mock Potato salad made with Cauliflower is induction friendly. If it is, I'm making that, too!

I was just making sure the rest of the ingredients were good to go for induction. They are, I am gonna make it before my brisket is done. I am about 4 hours in, 5 or six hours to go..... I bought a bigger one (10lbs) than usual. I also made beef jerky with some beef strips with pepper and onion salt. They are awesome. My kids keep coming back to me asking me for more!

My wife is making fun of me because I'm drinking a bottled water like it is a beer and eating jerky and celery as snacks while I am BBQ'ing. Usually its beer and burgers.

Beating ourselves up for being less than perfect will not help us get to our goals. You did the best you could under the circumstances, and learned from the experience. Isn't that what life is all about, really?
Some planning tips - I keep cheese sticks in the house and try to grab a couple on my way out of the house every day. They're actually better when they're room temp - you don't have to keep them refrig.
The hard boiled eggs are a good idea, too. Also celery sticks. Cut up the celery right when you bring it home from the store and keep them in a container w/water and they'll stay crispy. Another "grab n go" item.
Hang in there. This is a learning/braintraining process. You'll do great!
