Yes. I can tell you that the first thing that happens when I burn belly fat it that the belly gets squishier for a while. Smaller, but softer. I guess it is because the fat is not so tightly packed together.

        Re: belly fat

I can't believe I just read this...I've been wondering (hoping) the same thing...but thinking maybe I was just being overly hopeful. My tummy, especially the part above my waist was the most "dense" or hard fatty area but it is a lot squishier and it doesn't touch the bottom of my ta ta's anymore, LOL! I keep looking at my side profile in the mirror to see if I can tell any difference...I think so...glad I'm not (completely) whacko!
Lost 100lbs+ since May '09 with a variety of methods, calorie counting, low fat, low carb (not Atkins strict), zig zagging, etc. Would switch up diet and exercise as I stalled to reboot loss. Prior to Atkins I was about 1000cals/day, exercising fairly hard and NOT losing...so here I am to finish the job.

Prior Atkins dieter with 50lb loss in late '90's

Yes, it does get squishier (is that a word) My belly is getting mushy but it's getting so much smaller, it's crazy! I keep dropping all these inches and I look like I have lost a ton more weight than I really have cause the fat is no longer standing at attention...I guess my fat is less stressed now...ommmmmmm lol.

            Re: belly fat

My belly is flattening out a lot now. I am actually able to see lines on my sides. Yay. One thing I did notice is the upper part of my tummy which used to create this nice second boob area has seemed to drop to the lower part of my tummy. It is flat up there but the lower you go the more pushed out it is. If that makes sense. I am hoping as I tone more it will go away. It looks like I have a baby pouch now instead of 2 boob areas and a spare tire.
