  • Day 1...again.

    Back to day one again.

I was in a situation where it would have been a massive insult to turn down their food. The family I visited was poor as it was and I offered to actually treat them to a meal (so I could bring my own food and be carb smart) but they insisted they treat me since I was the guest.

I'm not sad I'm starting over, though. Granted, it was kind o' a drag after being 7 days into my induction, but I didn't let it knock me into a "oh whatever! BINGE TIME!"

After the meal, I just went right back to eating like I was supposed to. So I'm officially counting today as my first day back. This morning consisted of a light salad (less than 1 carb from the nutritionally lacking iceberg) and chopped chicken breast (no carbs) with no dressing. For lunch, I'm enjoying another salad, no chicken breast, but little bit o' green and red pepper, and some butter-garlic baked chicken.

I'm feeling good, as low carb is really not that hard for me, but I'll be sure not to have dinner with them at their home again until two weeks from now. Just don't have the heart to say to these people:

"Sorry, but rice is the Devil." LOL!

    DAY 1 WOO HOOO!

    Re: Day 1...again.

If you only ate one meal off-plan and did not follow it with a few days of carbage then there is no reason to start recounting your 14 days on induction

So if you were up to day 7 of your first 2 weeks on induction yesterday then today is day 8.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
