      No, I didn't miss it.

However, the "argument" that "I used to eat them" doesn't hold much water ... at least with me.

They weren't on the Acceptable Food List any time you did Atkins ... that's all.

        Re: gain on induction

hey sassy, when I was a newbie, I found that I had to make a copy of the Induction Acceptable Foods list and the Induction Rules and check every food I was about to buy or eat to make sure it was acceptable. There are over 50 veggies on that list, so it can be confusing trying to remember what's on it and what's not on it. And believe me.....having a copy of that list to refer to saved me some $$$$$$$ on more than one occasion because it prevented me from buying veggies that weren't on the list.

So keep looking at the lists and refer to them frequently. We have some old-timers who occasionally don't realize that a food is legal and need their memories refreshed. For example, we had one moderator when I was a semi-newbie who thought jalapeno peppers were not Induction friendly because they weren't on the list. But they are because they are peppers.

sassy1000 were you doing the 92 Atkins before? cause carrots are legal for the 92 version.
Dr Atkins set up 2002 based on glycemic index values and made veggies with high ones off limits for induction. I hated that those few carrots in preshredded cabbage were now making the whole bage illegal for induction grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

                    Re: gain on induction

You need about a gallon of plain water daily and if you are eating stir fries you likely are using soy which will cause you to retain water weight like crazy. The soy could easily show a gain of a couple pounds on the scale the next morning. If you are having constipation issues then take in some flax seed or psyllium husks. You can take the raw fiber or even take a couple Metamucil capsules each day.

It's not about the results. Its about the process.
