    I seem to remember one of the oldtimer Atkineers saying that when Dr Atkins was at his clinic the maximum suggested per day was one 'cup' of them - which is not all that large a portion, less than a 2 ounce bag according to fitday.com I think

      OOHHH yum, can somebody tell me where to find the flax cracker and the cheese chip things, AND the cheesecake recipes?? THANKS a million times over!

          Here are my recipes for the first 2
          Flax crackers : mix equal volumes (flat spoonfuls) of water and ground linseed (flax in USA) and let sit a while to thicken up then place on a baking tray or parchment paper nd press into about 1/8" thick shapes then oven bake or microwave till firm.

          Cheese Crackers : take either little squares or piles of grated cheese and spread them out on a tray of parchment paper leaving a fair amount of space as they will spread and microwave of oven bake till spreadout and bubbly.
          You can also fry these if you like, and even make large ones to use as taco shells or edible bowls if you drape them over a bowl or lifted up rolling pin (for taco shell shapes) before they stiffen up.

            Thanks you so so much Elizellen for the recipes!! I am going to make them tomorrow for snackies, just to be safe...the flax chips are okay for induction? Thanx!

                As for cheesecake and other sweet desserts... you might want to avoid these during Induction. Many of us recommend starving your sweet tooth in the first weeks.
