  • Day 12 and OhMy-cooking!?&holidays

    Hi all,

I know how to warm things, open packages and read directions, etc. But when it comes to folding in egg whites carefully, apparently, that's not my calling.
So, day 12 of induction, I am SO bored with the things I've been eating.
Therefore, I made these ooopsie rolls. They look like big splats, of, well-splats.

I would like these, are something like them, to be a bread option for Easter. Help? Did I fold too much?

I'll be on rung one of OWL by Easter but still the same old choices, just greater quantity, right? Anyone got a OWL Rung 1 Easter menu they would share?

Ooopsies always are a sort of splat I have found
You can make revolution rolls (of which the oopsie is an adaptatation) to be a little more 'bread-like' in consistency by cooking 1/3rd of the recipe as one roll or in a round dish in the middle of the microwave.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Great! Maybe I made them right, then! They've got a few more minutes in the oven, then I'll see how they taste.

We're having grilled steak, salad and deviled eggs (for the atkins part of easter). Sounds yummy to me. You can always cook up a turkey breast or ham (watch the sodium) and make faux mashed potato if you want a more traditional dinner.

you can make your oopsies more bread like if you add 1-2 Tablesppons of ground flax seeds to the egg yolk cream cheese mixture.

one trick to folding better is to add 1/4 of your whipped eggwhites to the yolk mix and gently stir them in before you fold the mixture into the whiites. it helps lighten the yolk mix.

you can also try splatting your splats into a muffin pan, so it will have more form.

But your splats can be used as a wrap.
