Alcohol is not allowed during Induction, period. If you don't want to follow this rule of Induction, then it's your decision.

You asked the same question a few hours ago on a different thread...

Here was my reply:
The Atkins Diet Bulletin Board follows the Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution.2002
According to that book, alcohol is not allowed on Induction. You may, however add it at Rung 5 of the Ongoing Weight Loss Ladder.
So it is useless to comment as to how "booze" a few times a week will or will not hurt you. It is simply not allowed on Induction. If you are going to drink at this time, then you are not following Atkins.
Hang in there for a while.
PS I love a few drinks, too, but I like following Atkins properly, and losing weight better.

Alcohol might be the hard thing for you to give up in this.....just like others have severe problems giving up chocolate or...bagels.
However this diet is different then a lot of other types of diets. Many other diets will say - just do your best, or it's okay to cheat now and then.
Atkins doesn't work that way. It works by really following the plans and phases exactly!
I doubt you'll find someone on this board especially that will tell you it's okay. I know you are hoping someone will tell you that...but this board focuses on following the Atkins book exactly and they want you to be successful doing what works.
I hope you can start Atkins and take a break from alcohol until you are in the correct phase!
