type type type - lost my post
lets try this again!
Just thought I would check in. Today is day 14 of my induction! It was not a perfect induction...I messed up with one bad choice of chinese food....and a few other minor slipups. But...what is has been is a GREAT learning experience for me.
I have lost 6 lbs. I feel fantastic. My skin is clear and naturally beautiful once again from all the water.
I am exercising almost every day, either from physical therapy or on my own accord. Even better, I am COMFORTABLE with this way of eating. It doesn't feel awkward or difficult. It feels more organic and natural than anything else I have tried. I am also loving the power/control I get from planning out my meals. Maybe it's a little odd, but it gives me a certain pleasure having it all planned out.
I have decided to stay on extended induction 2 more weeks and then move to OWL 1. My mini goals are to exercise 10 times in the next 14 days AND to NOT have any slipups for the next 14 days.
Some small things that have helped me are:
1)
ADBB - checking in here either for the recipes, the support, the questions have really helped me be accountable and aware of my choices. Not only have I learned a lot, I get daily inspiration from glimpses of people's before and after pictures in their signatures. It's not magic, it's doable and if they can do it, so can I!
2) Water bottle - Having a 24 oz. water bottle has helped me to really keep track of how much water I am drinking. And water is sooo key!
3) Cookbook - I was a pretty good cook "before", lol, but most of my yummy home made recipes are NOT low carb. So instead - I started a new cookbook. Made by hand and all crafty, I am loving sliding each low-carb recipe I try (and like) into it.
4) NOT telling people - for me...it has helped to NOT tell people what I am doing. I'll just happily wait for someone to say out of the blue, "hey have you lost weight." I think for me, not having people expecting me to have a huge weight loss makes it easier. I can lose at my own body's pace instead of other people's ideals.
So thanks to everyone on here for the support and help. I am looking forward well...to a great lifetime but....keeping my goals nice and small...I am looking forward to another fantastic 2 weeks!
