  • Does anyone eat artichokes on induction?

I bought a couple thinking they were allowed on induction--and they are--but they are pretty high in carbs. That's fine with me, but I"m not sure quite how to measure the carbs on an artichoke. I have the USDA program that says a medium artichoke is 14.something carbs, but my arties look sort of large. Is there any way to figure this out easily, like x oz=x carbs?

    TIA!

USDA will tell you in oz or grams too. Or you can try FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal And remember it is net carbs. Artichoke has a lot of fiber.

And keep in mind that if you've got a whole artichoke, you will throw away more than what you actually eat.

Most of what's edible is the heart.

Ha ha, we had the whole fitday conversation yesterday and completely forgot to check there.

        Right, Atkinsgal--I was thinking that.

        Thanks!

ETA: Thanks Liv--I hadn't thought to check the fiber content, I was focused on "how am i going to eat no carb for the rest of the day in order to eat this artichoke??" LOL
