Does anyone in the uk know of a sausage that would be suitable on induction. I have been looking around and can't seem to find any?

    Re: Sausages

I found some that are Walmart brand and they say zero carb per serving, so I count a carb per serving just in case it is just under a carb and they do not list it. they have others that are a carb per serving. They are the great value brand by the bacon and sausage and hot dogs.
You still have to go easy on them, but you can have some if you are careful !!

      Re: Sausages

Most british bangers are not induction-legal as most have wheat, rusk (made from wheat) or rice or soya flour in them - even the gluten-free ones

There are a few companies that make carb free sausages - one I have bought are made by Devon Rose (www.devonrose.co.uk I think).

But nowadays I make my own using plain ground meat with spices and maybe some crumbs from a flax bread I make.

If you have a friendly butcher locally you might be able to get him to make you some with no added non-induction ingredients, but you would probably have to order quite a lot of them.

The only readily available sausages that appear induction-friendly to me are the german-style ones which are about 99% meat with just spices and preservatives added to them.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

        Re: Sausages

Thanks for your replies both Do you mean the bratwurst type ones. I found them in aldi and thought they would be ok but have sugar in them (can't remember which one now) these are lovely but it is so surprising what has sugar. Would be fab if I could have these as I am missing sausage even though it's only day 2.....
On another note I have been ill today and not eaten much, will I hurt my results by doing this?

No, it won't hurt your results. Job #1 is to feel better!

Do try to keep you fluid level up though.

              Re: Sausages

The eggs and butter were a great choice for sure !! You can eat those all day if that is all you can eat, better than not eating at all diet wise !!
I have never been to an Aldis but I found mine at Walmart in the bacon and sausage and where they sell the kabasa type sausage and they have a few that are very low or no carb there. Very tasty too and pretty cheap for most of them !!

                Re: Sausages

Thanks stephie, it was lovely and quite filling. The sausage are called bratwurst and german but they have some sugars in them so I am confused as to whether I can have them on induction. We don't have a walmart here but sounds like they are the same sort of thing. Did yours have sugar in?

Some of the Mattessons smoked pork sausages have no sugar in them

Not the same as cooking from raw, but fairly tasty. They do have a fair amount of sodium in them though which can cause water retention/bloating.
