Question... I can't find my DANDR copy in a hurry, so hopefully someone can help I know avocados fall under the special category and we are allowed 1/2 of one during induction. Does that 1/2 count against my 1 cup of other veggies (assuming 2 cups of salad). If so, how much does it count for? I am waaay low on carbs today, just trying to get some good fat and a few more carbs into me. My protein is a little high.

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Re: Avocados

The avocado does not count against your vegetables.

You can have it in addition to your vegetables.

    Remember, it's a fruit!

Thank you! I know it's a fruit, but it's such a weird little thing. It seems wrong to be eating a fruit on induction. I have got to find my DANDR copy, no idea where my wife stuck it...

it counts as a veggie when you get to OWL rung one but in induction it dsoesn't count in your 3 cups of veggies.

If it hurts to sit down, I might have an idea.

Lots of the vegetables on Induction are botanically fruits.

Paul - there are a couple of threads in the Atkins Diet FAQ forum

which give both the rules of induction and the allowed list you could copy and save to your computer for easy reference - even print them out to have with you when out and about.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
