You don't want those things anyway. I swear they are evil :nod

They definitely can stall weight loss, not to mention they can trigger cravings for sweets and they are easy to over do. As well as many of the ingredients in them are not on the acceptable foods list. Just better to stay away. I have also heard that they mess up peoples stomachs. And some people have even said that the sugar alcohols in them kick them out of ketosis, which means they are metabolizing them. Frankenfoods are bad. It does not matter whose brand name is on them they are still heavily processed and bad for your body.
Atkin's is about eating the food that nature provides us.

Had boiled eggs, half an avacado, pepperoni slices, celery with cream cheese, all of these are acceptable quick and easy snacks.

I just have to chime in and echo everyone's comments. The bars and the shakes are an accident waiting to happen.
If they don't stall your weightloss they ignite old cravings. The Atkins diet flourished and succeeded for decades before the introduction of these artificial alternatives to the very foods that got us all fat in the first place.
IMO these foods are a result of corporate greed and not produced for the benefit of peoples health and long term commitment to the Atkins WOL.
Do yourself a favor and follow Atkins the way Dr. Atkins had originally intended - whole (phase legal foods) foods, plenty of them, lot's of water and exercise.

Under induction there is a paragraph about convenience foods. He says they are acceptable, if you dont over do it. He can vouch for any atkins product.
etc... I guess I'm just looking for easy ways out.. ..
you know.. nobody blinks if you're at your desk eating raisins, or grapes or an apple... but break out a chicken leg and heads turn
I really wouldn't worry what anyone else at your work thinks to be honest. what do they care if you are eating a chicken leg?
Looke thru the recipes board for some legal snacks you can make, mini quiches, flax crackers, cheese crips etc. peperoni's great, cheese tuna salad, regular salad, celery, etc.

But remember that was when he was at the helm.
The company has different priorities nowadays.
Also he said
Not all convenience food products are the same, so check labels and carbohydrate content.
While any of these foods can make doing Atkins easier, don't overdo it. Remember, you must always follow The Rules of Induction
Meaning if it contains ingredients not allowed on induction then you have to wait till the relevant OWL rung to reintroduce them.
The last time this was debated at length here one proponent of the bars was challenged to find one lowcarb bar that was legal for induction by checking the ingredients and could/did not!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies? Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
well actually he can't vouch for many of the products because they were created after his death...many contain ingredients that we know have caused stalls and other problems.
