Chayote squash... where does it fall?

I love chayote squash Great stuff when done right. I just can't figure out where it falls. Is it induction legal or not? I believe not based on the fact that they are technically a fruit, but there net carbs are really low. Just trying to judge at what point people have added it back.

*edit* Nevermind, I found an older thread where it was spelled out as a summer squash! Excellent Mock apples for me tonight (minus the molasses).

It's a member of the gourd family with cucumbers, melons, squash and gourds.
