Re: Constipation help.

I had this problem this week. I went on Sunday and by last night I was getting concerned. The worst part is I could feel my body wanted to go but I could not go.
I had some ducolax from my hubbys colonoscopy last year and I took the top dose of three and finally went today and it was a miserable experience but I feel much better.
I was not eating enough veggies and no salad. Honestly when I started I had no energy and making a salad was just beyond me. I was eating some cheese within legal limits and I think that made it worse.
I am not sure if it is induction friendly but I had a whey shake today that was very low carb and had fiber in it and added my two teaspoons of flaxmeal in it and then had a nice greens salad for lunch with chicken breast in it. I am gong to make sure to have more at dinner. I am going to have to eat more salad then legal because I cannot honestly take this as it was absolutely horrible the last two days and miserable the last 24 when I coudl feel it was there but I coudl not go.
This is a life style change, I am not going off of Atkins, but I have to add a bit more salad and veggies then legal because with my IBS, the constipation is really bad. I am supposed to eat high fiber and my body likes a high fiber diet. I originally was going to do just a low gylcemic diet and eat the whole grains and brown rice but something in me knew that was not the route to go and I did the Atkins instead. I have to watch how much flax seed meal I use per meal and per day as I can have bad reactions to it.
I am making sure to get my water but even three to four liters a day did not help me with the constipation problem.
I hated using the laxative and hope to never have to again, but desperate times call for desperate measures lol !!
You have to find what works for you but going once every six days is not ever going to work for me, that is for sure , lol !! I hope to never ever repeat this experience again !!
