This is the 3rd day I've been on Atkins the first day I was fine, but when it got late at night I was in the kitchen looking at food and wanted to gag I thought maybe because I ate too much that day? and I thought that would change the next day but it didn't, I absolutely did NOT want to eat and procrastinated but I ate, then came lunch didn't want to eat then either but I made myself eat, then came dinner..ate then too I was dreading for that day to be over because I knew I had to eat but didn't want to. Now today I woke I been waking on and off this morning because I have nausea and didn't want to deal with it but now I'm up and do not want to eat. I feel like I'm going to vomit if I do especially now due to nausea and I hate to be TMI but I also had diarrhea. I'm a mess right now.

Re: No appetite, nause, HELP
Are you getting close to 20 carbs/day, with more than half coming from veggies? Drinking at leat 64oz of water /day? I would start there. Also, if you added a completely new food (maybe artificial sweetener?) lately, try cutting that out & introduce it back slowly to see fow it affects you.
Many people feel unwell the first week of Atkins. I am not sure if your symptoms match - search 'induction flu' on this board for more information.Julie__________________F/37/5'2"__________________Start April 15, 2009

Re: No appetite, nause, HELP
JulieB, vegetables are new to me lol, hardly ever ate them until last week and this week starting Atkins I cut out sugar and bread, something I eat pretty much daily I'm guessing my body isn't used to it. I believe the diarrhea is due to my menstrual that started today, I tend to have alot of bowel movements the first day of my menstrual (sorry TMI) But the loss of appetite is not normal for me at all.

That makes sense. The diarrhea will pass.
As far as loss of appetite, eat those veggies & try to get close to 20 carbs/day with more than 1/2 being from veggies (you will have to plan this...choosing the higher-carb / more nutritious veggies to get enough carbs in 3 cups). I think that will help.Julie__________________F/37/5'2"__________________Start April 15, 2009
