  • Atkins and female issues

    I was just curious.. i know that i am following my eating plan correctly, but i should be starting my female issue in 3 days and i was wondering if that could be causing me to not see results on the scale? Ive been doing really well! Just wasn't sure how much that issue would affect the #'s on the scale?

    Bust: 44 inches Now:38
    Waist: 41 inches Now: 33
    Hips: 54 inches Now: 46
    Thighs: 31 inches Now: 27
    Arms: 15 inches Now: 14
    Neck: 15 inces Now: 13.5
    (GOAL)
    Bust: 36 inches
    Waist:29 inches
    Hips: 38 inches

    You probably retained water when you were getting your period before Atkins, too. I've seen people retain as much as 10 pounds of water during that time of the month.

      Definitely think I'm up to about 5lbs so far and it's still a week away. UGH

        I have stayed at 216.2 for the past 2-3 days! Grrr

            Sometimes I wish Dr Atkins had been female, as I am sure there would have been more note of the effects of that special 'time of the month' than the one reference he made in DANDR
            If you start Induction before or during a menstrual period, it may take longer for weight loss to register.
            Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                I have gained back a lb or two, and I'm supposed to start TOM within the week. We'll see what happens!

                  I gain about 5 lbs when my period is about to start. I stay far away from the scale it I can
                  Startdate: November 18, 2007. Female 5'2"
