  • Day 1, again .... :D

    This morning is day 1 again for me.
    I had a half/1 cup cucumber, 2 pickles, a burger made with real ground beef ( im deffinately liking this "cook-everything-yourself-from-scratch" thing going on) low carb ketchup (linda sues recipe) and a piece of romaine lettuce on top.
    The weirdest thing is , I normally dont really like those boxed burgers, so I was kinda iffy about making myself a burger. So when I took the first bite I kinda closed my eyes lol. And....... I loved it!!!! YAY! I wanted more of it, man, I love this WOE!

    P.s. I also had a cup of green tea and working on glass number 2 of water
    I'll be 23 next month.
    I have a wonderful/supportive bf and a daughter who is a year and a half old.
    If I cant lose the weight for myself, I'll do it for her!

          I am glad you are getting into the 'cooking from scratch' mode, as I find it makes Atkins so much more do-able for me too
          Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

            Update: Im already feeling withdrawl, is this normal? lol
            I cant remember feeling withdrawl til usually day 3 all the other "attempts" on atkins.

            I have a headache, and Im trying to eat celery with cream cheese. I dont know why i put that in my menu honestly, cause i really cant stand celery. I thought i could do it if i put some cheese on it. Nope! Didnt work.

            Thinking of maybe just getting some shrimp and having that as my snack instead?
            Something like 10 shrimp and 2 oz of cheddar... Is that alright as a snack?
            I feel lost today, like my mind wont think.....

              I believe you can have shrimp on induction (it says you can eat it liberally), and cheese is fine, no more than 3-4 oz per day, but watch it in case it stalls you.

                Courtney eat some vegies, and drink a glass of water, then eat your shirmp. I know if I eat my good carbs first I get a little boost. Also try to get outside today, some fresh air and some exercise will make you feel better. Hang in there, as my mom used to say and this too sall pass.

                  Thanks guys, Ive already got my menu planned out and all my veggies are taken up. Ill stick with shrimp and a bit of cheese. Thanks again!

                    Each time we restart Atkins our body reacts slightly differently it seems to me. I suppose that is normal as our body is a bit older each time, and we have changed.
