yeah.. what happened to lunch? You should never go more than 6 hours without eating. and where is your water? you should be drinking at least 64 oz a day + 8 oz for every 25 lbs you want to lose.

Also don't be afraid of variety! Steak and mushrooms aren't the ONLY acceptable foods. Plus variety keeps you from getting bored with your food

2 cups of mushrooms are deffinately not enough, you should be eating 3 cups of vegetables a day.
Bring some color in your food !!!
And deffinately eat lunch, don't skip any meals.

          close but no ketosis

Dr Atkins emphasized eating a wide variety of healthy and wholesome foods each day. You can do this on induction while still sticking to the approved foods list. Your steak and mushrooms is great, but you need to include all the other foods that will help you have a positive induction day.

Not eating enough food is a surefire way to fail. Not only could you prevent your body from going into ketosis, but you will quickly tire of such a limited menu.

There is also a level of mental satiation that you are reaching for.
Having an appropriate portion of cheese, of butter, of cream, yes, even meat fat - - these foods will help you overcome unwelcome cravings and signal your brain and body that you are not going into starvation mode and it is okay to start releasing fat stores.

Where is your 4 ounces of cheese? Where are your eggs? Where is your fish? Where is your 3 tbsps of cream? Where are your veggies?

7 tbsp of mayo? That seems excessive for a garnish.

Here is one of my menu samples, and I'm not saying it is a perfect one.
But give yourself some variety - different meats, and be sure to include fish. Fish is so tasty and so healthy for you. Try not to repeat the same meat for both lunch and dinner unless you are concerned about spoilage.

          Breakfast:

Ham, egg and mushroom omelet cooked with a small pat of butter
(1/2 cup of mushrooms, 2 eggs, 2 ounces of cheddar cheese, lots of ham)
1 teaspoon decaf with 1 packet of stevia and 1 tbsp of cream
          water, water, water

          water, water, water

          Lunch:
1 salmon burger with a dash of lemon
          1 cup of chicken broth
1 cup of raw veggies - jicama, peppers, celery
          water, water, water

Snack: Usually a mock danish with a small pat of butter
          water, water, water

          Dinner:
Steak and mushrooms with 1 ounce of melted cheese
1 cup of dark leafy greens
1 slice of pumpkin flan (Atkins recipe)
1 cup of tea with stevia
          water, water, water,

          Alternative Snacks:

          10 olives
          or
          1/2 avacado
          or
          1 string cheese
          or
          1 boiled egg
          and
any kind of meat or fish

You must follow the DANDR. Skipping meals, skipping veggies is never an option.
Suffering is necessary until you realize it is unnecessary. Eckhart Tolle
