Hello everybody, I am on day 4 of induction and am feeling kinda crappy this morning. I have a terrible headache and I am so tired that I just want to sit on the bed with a hotpad. I have so much work to get done around the house so I am going to force myself to find energy somehow. I think I might need to drink more water, yesterday I drank around 3 liters. I am not really that hungry at all but I ate a couple of hard boiled eggs for breakfast and a cup of coffee (I HAD to have it, I felt terrible). Hoping this is the "atkins flu" and passes soon.

That is awesome, a pound a day! My weight keeps fluctuating so I am not for sure exactly my average a day but I think I have lost about 3 pounds so far. I think the weekend will be a test because my family and I are always on the go and usually eat out but I already told them all that not only is mommy on a diet but it is not healthy for us to eat out like that all the time. Good thing it is grilling weather now, we will grill out just about every meal : )

Re: Day 4 of induction and feeling crappy...
The grilling has been a bonus, had grilled butterflied porkchops last night. Today is day 6 now but I must not be drinking enough water yet because I am only down by about 4-5 pounds and was really hoping I could be one of the lucky ones that lose the 15lbs during induction phase. I will probably extend the induction phase. Hope all is going well for you all!Originally posted by clr1978 View PostThe way i look at it hun is as long as your losing its a bonus

Hiya hun, you know what if im honest im not drink half as much water either as i should be i have to force myself sometimes its hard. I have been having the odd cup of sugar free cherryade asda/wallmarts own it has trace of carbohydrate well i have weighed myselfthis morning as this is day 7 and i have lost 7 pound first week so pound a day i must say i feel great, im not going to weigh myself every few days now going to try leave it till next sunday i was just so excited and wanted to see before lol.
You may find that during next week you may loose more so i wouldnt worry to much a loss is a loss
.
As for extending the induction phase i know already that im going to do that i need to loose quite abit really, get there in the end. Hows your appetite been anyway i have not been really hungry which im finding makes the diet not so bad.
. Your grilling session sounded nice anyways.
Hope you have another good week let us know how you go.

Re: Day 4 of induction and feeling crappy...
That is fantastic that you lost 7 in 7! I hope I lose more this week, I like that I am full and not hungry all the time and not having any crazy cravings. The grilling has been great. I am going to try and not weigh myself for a couple of days just so that I don't worry too much about it. It is just going to take me some time to lose this weight because I know it didn't appear overnight and I won't lose it overnight, I just have to stay focused and keep pushing for my goal!Originally posted by clr1978 View PostHiya hun, you know what if im honest im not drink half as much water either as i should be i have to force myself sometimes its hard. You know that the "15 pounds during Induction" is just a marketing gimmick don't you?
If you have a GREAT rate of loss, you might lose 10% of the total you want to lose. For you, that's 4.6 pounds.
Losing 15 on Induction probably isn't realistic, except in the world of advertising.
What do you think that extending Induction will do for you that moving to OWL won't?J.

Re: Day 4 of induction and feeling crappy...
It will pass. I promise. I had my withdrawal on the second day. I felt so nauseous and horribly tired yet I couldn't sleep for 48 hours (yikes because I'm a mom of a rambunctious 15 month old). You do loose your appetite, but just try to eat something really small every couple of hours AND DONT FORGET THOSE VITAMINS especially the B's. It does help.
