  • Yes...I cheated

So yesterday I made a major mess up. I'm the type of person that plans out my meals and that's what makes this way of eating alot easier for me. Well I got super busy, forgot to bring my atkins friendly snacks and meal with me to work and I got really hungry. So I went and ate a granola bar, had a little mac n cheese and to end the night I had a big mac meal. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm what was I thinking you ask? I have NO IDEA!!!! Obviously I wasn't. I am getting right back on plan as of this morning and I REFUSE to restart. I am at day 11 today and some people slip up sometimes but it's about the bigger picture of weight loss....realizing the mistake, keep going and making sure it doesn't happen again.

Did you have any other choices when you ate off plan?

No just a vending machine. I guess u can say I couldve taken the bun off the burger but it didn't even cross my mind. What I learned from this was to always be prepared because when hunger hits...it hits hard

Well, at least it was a lesson learned.

As you said in your initial post, just carry on now to the end of your 14 days on induction but do be prepared to experience cravings, so be doubly prepared with 'legal' foods.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

          Re: Yes...I cheated

There's nothing wrong with making a mistake, as long as we learn from it. When we learn frrom our mistakes, we come out so much better since we now are more sensitive to why we messed up in the first place. We become stronger.

So, Get back on that horse and ride to the finish line.

          See ya there! Trenton

            Re: Yes...I cheated

First thing, kudos to you for bringing it to the boards and being honest with yourself. Realizing you made a mistake and WANTING to change it is a major accomplishment in itself. But yes! Continue forward! Do you see how bad it feels to deviate from the plan? It only hurts yourself and I think seeing how it makes you feel now may help to keep you from doing it again anytime soon! Lesson learned, right!?

            Take care
